Harrowing Around the Corner

With Halloween coming up next month, one of my piano students decided to created a short Halloween song or could be played anytime throughout the year. The student requested to use his initials and I respect the decision. I'm so proud of him and what he created.

The song is written in D Harmonic minor, which gives it a "creepy" feel. B. T. W. uses broken chords, playing one note and then two notes together in the Bass Clef. The melody is harrowing and he incorporates a short part from Bach's Toccata in D minor. My favoritie part of the song is the change of meter from 3/4 to 4/4 within a measure or two. He created this one his own and didn't even know. Way to go. The link to the song is below. Check out this fun song and perhaps you could teach the song and possibly use it for Halloween. I used MuseScore to create the song. Again exceptional job sir. I'm so proud of you. Keep up the amazing work.

Wnat are you students creating? Please share. Thanks for your support. Blessings.
