Spider-Man No Way Home by Michael Giacchino

When Covid hit, I had a student who wanted to learn this song and for several years I would try this solo by Samuel Ramos from musicnotes.com. Yet I finally stuck to the song and I'm proud of the accomplishments made in this selection. This song rocks. I'm not absolutely perfect at it, yet I'm grateful to have tried the solo.

The song is written in A minor, yet includes accidentals and chords not implemented in the key of A minor, including D and F Major. Ramos begins the arrangement with a quarter note equaling 70 bpm and then goes to 140 bpm. He includes triplets over sixteenth notes (which I'm still learning about) close to the end of the solo. The music is all over the piano, which is my favorite part. The only downside is dynamics are not available in the solo, so I took my liberties. This solo is designed for later intermediate to late advanced. The melody is haunting, yet it makes a bold statement about the famous comic book character, realizing his world will change to the point that he wishes it was back to normal.

Here is the link to the solo:

What is something you're finally trying years later? I would like to know. Thanks for your support. Blessings.
