Swat Those Turkeys Rhythm Game

One of the games I use during Thanksgiving is called Swat Those Turkeys created Jaylene Scott through teacherspayteachers. Here is the link:

This is a great group game and here the instructions:

Print out the cards on cardstock and laminate for durability. Spread the cards out on the floor and divide the class into 2 or more teams. Give each team a fly swatter and clap and/or say a rhythm. Students race to “swat” the correct rhythm. The team with the most turkeys at the end wins!

Currently I haven't been able to do group lessons, as I did in the past. Yet it's great with individual lessons, working on quarter and eighth notes. Have the kids use small drums, boomwhackers, body percussion, jumping, the options are endless. If you're able to do group lessons, please consider this game as an option for the week of Thanksgiving.

What are some of your favorite Thanksgiving Games? Would like to know. Thanks for your support. Blessings.
